Our story
Founded in 1927 by Arthur Vandermeersch, Tringlerie Ameublement Vandermeersch & F (VAAT) revolutionized the curtain rod market by introducing custom-made plastic-coated metal rods. This innovation quickly positioned the company as an industry leader and earned it widespread recognition.
With strong national growth, VAAT relocated in 2001 to a new 2,400 m² facility in Bondues. In 2017, the company expanded into the Benelux region by creating a commercial subsidiary in Belgium, VAAT1927 SRL.
In 2023, the business was transferred to Maison VAAT. The following year, the company invested in a new ERP system to accelerate its digital transformation and modernize its tools and services.
